Tammy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Ohio State University in 1979 and a Juris Doctor degree from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1982.
She began her legal career in private practice in Ohio, specializing in workers' compensation litigation, after which she worked for two years at the Ohio Supreme Court.
After moving to North Carolina in 1986, Tammy continued in the field of workers' compensation as a Deputy Commissioner at the North Carolina Industrial Commission for 8 1/2 years. She left the Industrial Commission in 1995 and was a member of our firm for the next three years. She rejoined the firm in 2005 and became a partner in 2008. Tammy continues to practice workers' compensation law exclusively. Tammy is a board-certified workers' compensation specialist, has lectured on workers' compensation law in a variety of forums, and has been chosen to appear in the 2008 edition of North Carolina Super Lawyers in the field of Workers' Compensation.
Tammy is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and is licensed to practice law in Ohio and North Carolina.
