
Bob graduated from Wake Forest University in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Campbell University School of Law in 1986. While in law school, he served as a staff member on the Campbell Law Review.
Bob began his legal career as law clerk to Judge Sidney S. Eagles, Jr. at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, where he expanded his knowledge of various substantive areas of the law and began to specialize in the kind of trial and appellate practice he has pursued as a member of this firm. Bob joined the firm in 1988 and became a partner in 1993. He has an active trial and appellate practice that includes many appearances before the North Carolina Industrial Commission, in the District and Superior Courts of North Carolina, and at the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Bob practices in the areas of workers' compensation, employment law and products liability. He lectured at the March 1996 Advanced Workers' Compensation Seminar sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Association and was chosen by his peers to be included in the 2006 edition of North Carolina Super Lawyers in the field of Civil Litigation Defense.
