Julie received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Appalachian State University in 1994, a Masters Degree in American History from Western Carolina University in 2000, and a Juris Doctor degree from Campbell University in 2003. In law school, she was the Notes and Comments Editor of the Campbell Law Review, a member of the Lone Star Classic Trial Team, and member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Team. Julie was also the author of an article published in the Campbell Law Review, Caught Between a Rock and a Hard Place: Fringe Landowners 'Can't Get No Satisfaction.' Is it time to Re-think Annexation Policy in North Carolina? Upon graduation from law school, Julie received an award from the National Association of Women Attorneys and was inducted into the Order of Old Kivett.
Julie has been a member of the firm since 2003 and is located in our office in Asheville, North Carolina. She divides her time and practice between workers' compensation defense, employment law, insurance coverage and general civil defense litigation.
