Henry received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from East Carolina University in 1971 and a Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University in 1974. After graduating from law school, he served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force for four years. Henry has been practicing with the firm since 1980 and has been a partner since 1985.

Henry divides his practice between real estate professional liability, construction defect, products liability and general civil defense litigation. He also handles insurance coverage and bad faith litigation and has extensive experience with an assortment of professional liability claims.

Henry serves as an arbitrator and mediator for the American Arbitration Association and is a certified mediator for all Superior Courts in North Carolina, the North Carolina Industrial Commission, and in all U.S. District Courts in the State of North Carolina. He is also a member of the panel of arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association for complex construction defect cases.

Henry gained substantial trial experience in courts martial and various administrative proceedings while serving as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force. During his more than 27 years of practice with our firm, Henry has tried a wide range of cases in a variety of tribunals throughout North Carolina.
