In 1992, Melissa graduated magna cum laude from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina in 1995.
Melissa brings a commitment to advocacy to each of her cases. She understands that each case is important and works diligently to address client needs and concerns. Admitted to the bar in North Carolina in 1995, her practice includes workers' compensation, employment law and general insurance defense cases.
Melissa joined our firm in 1997 and became a partner in 2004. Her trial experience includes cases in both the civil District and Superior Courts of North Carolina, as well as those brought before the North Carolina Industrial Commission. Melissa is also licensed to appear in all three Federal District Courts in North Carolina.
