After undergraduate studies at Davidson College and Mississippi State College, John received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina in 1949. John has been of counsel to the firm since 1978.
John is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and has extensive experience in trial work, both as an individual practitioner and as a former member of the defense firm of Johnson, Hedgepeth, Biggs & Campbell in Lumberton, North Carolina. He has also served as a Councilor, Vice President, President-Elect and President of the North Carolina State Bar, and was inducted into the North Carolina Bar Association General Practice Section Hall of Fame in 2003.
John is currently engaged in an active litigation practice out of his office in Lumberton.
