Megan graduated from Duke University in 2007, with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in English. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University in May 2010.

While in law school, Megan was a member of several oral advocacy programs, including the Moot Court Board, the Appellate Advocacy Clinic, and the student Trial Bar. Megan served as a staff member of the Wake Forest Intellectual Property Law Journal, and as a member and Secretary of the Honor Council. She was also a Teaching Assistant in Legal Research and Writing I and II. Upon graduation, Megan was inducted into the Order of Barristers, a nationally recognized courtroom advocacy society.

During the summer of 2008, Megan worked as an judicial intern for the Honorable Mary Jane Bowes of the Pennsylvania Superior Court, where she helped to research and draft appellate opinions. Megan co-authored two articles with Judge Bowes: "How to Search for Superior Court Memorandum Decisions," which appeared in Vol. 10, No. 19 of the Lawyers Journal, and "Private Justice or Public Right?," which was published in the November/December 2008 edition of The Pennsylvania Lawyer. In 2009, Megan worked as a summer associate at Teague Campbell.

Megan joined the firm in the fall of 2010.  She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Wake County Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in the Eastern District of North Carolina.
