Brian earned his Juris Doctor degree with magna cum laude distinction from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2008. Prior to that, he graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.

Brian attended law school as the recipient of the prestigious NCCU Scholar Scholarship. While in law school, he served as Senior Editor of the NCCU Law Journal. A published author, he wrote "Buckeye Check Cashing v. Cardena: The Latest Example of How the Supreme Court Has Turned the Federal Arbitration Act into a State-Defying Monstrosity." 29 N.C. Cent. L.J. 250 (2007). Brian was also a finalist in the Mary Wright Closing Argument Competition.

Brian joined our firm in September 2008. He is a certified Superior Court mediator and has conducted numerous mediations in Wake County Superior Court through Carolina Dispute Settlement Services. He is a member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association and Wake County Bar Association.
